Those so-called negative experiences we had in the past can be the very foundation our strength and wisdom is built upon today. Everyone of us have had to go through the hurt or we wouldn't know the joy. We've had to experience the dark so that we would recognize the Light.

Soul transcendence is about looking for the good. Choose to look for the good rather than declare there is no good just because you haven't seen it yet. If you're not seeing the good right now, then keep looking. Looking for the good in all people and things is the secret to soul transcendence and a key to happiness.

In spiritual exercises, you learn what you are creating and how. You learn to observe everything you think or do. You learn to concentrate the energy of Spirit inside of you and become a true channel of harmonious energy and balance.

You have to give up the past in order to live in the here and now of your life. We can all look back on our lives and say, "If only I could do it over I would do it differently." However, it won't change what happened back there, so you might as well accept what happened in your past. You can't change it and you don't have to dwell on it.

Words seldom do it for you. It is only when it happens that you have that experience. If someone tells you of spiritual things, you do not have the experience of that. But if the person is truly speaking from their center of Light, they may stir that center of Light within you, and that may be the beginning of your experience.

Often, keeping your mouth shut is a vital part of answering the questions you ask inside. You find that you can experience Spirit and ground that experience in your physical body just by keeping your mouth shut and not dissipating the energy by verbal chatter.

There's nothing in there that says you can't make mistakes. Jesus said, "Judge not, lest ye be judged." And if you make a mistake, get busy correcting it, because he also said, "Don't talk about the board in somebody else's eye until you get the board out of your own eye." In other words, go around and perfect yourself before you start judging everybody else.

Be glad you have any opportunity, great or small, to express your charity and compassion regardless of the resistance or indifference you may face. Loving is your true nature, as well as the true nature of all those who act against it by choosing negativity. This, in part, is God's calling unto each of us. This, in part, is the divine action and the partaking in the blessings that already are.

When you are loving, you are able to bypass an awful lot of the distractions of this world. When you are loving, you see the person with whom you are relating, not their physical body, not their emotions, not their mind, not their bank book or their income, not their role or image or facade. You see the reality of who they are and you are present in loving that reality.

The Soul is your truest reality.

When we invoke the Kingdom of Heaven, the reality is not all things are necessary. So if you'll set yourself up to follow Heaven, or seek it as best you can, then the things that are part of that in the very best of what it is can follow. And the things that are not part of it, that are not necessary, can somehow bypass you and spare you.

Jesus, through his death and resurrection, changed the karma of the planet. Before Jesus' time, the law of the planet was "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" - also known as the Law of Moses. Through the Christ action, human beings came under grace, and salvation was won for all of us at that time.

As long as you stay focused on your forward path, as long as you continually move deeper into the experience of the Divine, as long as you practice the presence of the Divine, you make this world a portable paradise. And you get to live in the world without getting caught in it.

There is no way to hide and no need to hide. When you realize that you are in the presence of the Divine all the time, and you start practicing that presence by living each moment in a loving way, everything you have done in the past that has been a block to you can be placed on "hold" as indefinitely as you care to have it.

Part of my work is to tell you that it is in your own best interest to live in honesty. Be honest with yourself; be honest with others. Live by the laws. Live by the rules that are a part of your immediate environment. Fulfill the agreements that you make with yourself and with other people around you.

I look at resurrection as awakening, and each morning I resurrect to the newness that is present. Each day there is a responsibility that goes with that resurrection, which is that I must choose back to God and call forward God's name and say, "Here I am."

It takes great strength to see the face of God in those who are acting with destruction as their expression. Each and every time we are confronted by negativity in others and the situations we face, we must strive toward God's answer to all of the creation: "Love one another, as I have loved you" [John 15:12].

If you are out of balance emotionally, mentally, financially or sexually, you are not doing what you've come here to do. This is something you can use as a guideline to let you know if you're "in line" with God's will or being "will-full."

When you have the desire to share something precious of your own nature, check your motives and see if you are sharing out of ego and pride and the need for their approval, or if you are sharing out of your love for that other person and your desire to give something of value to them for their own growth and upliftment.

When you fulfill the obligations that you have agreed to, you'd be surprised at the freedom you manifest in your life. When these levels are clear, the energy that you are able to focus into your spiritual exercises becomes extremely powerful.
